Canon Sd1000 defintely it has face detection 3x optical zoom with 7.1 megapixels. It has a digic III image processor which makes it easeir to take good pictures as well as a 3 inch pure color LCD screen it would be perfect for the teenage girl. its small and would fit in the pocket so she doesnet have to lug around a 4 pound camera.
