If they're younger teens they might like Hanna Montana. Older girls might like something more traditional and grown up. You might consider finding out what they like and perhaps create pictures or collages of their favorite things.

If you're updating furniture, think about purchasing things they can take with them when they go to college or their first apartments. Such as, larger beds, cedar chests, sturdy pieces of furniture that look eclectic in their rooms for now, but they can use when they get older and on their own.

My son moved out for first time last summer and I did my best to collect items for him over the years and as he got older. We found that spending over a longer period of time certainly helped and he 'still' needed more.Im looking for ideas for bedroom designs for teenage girls. Really anything goes.?
i did one teen girl's room in a pale blue and white and my wife and i painted a mural of the sun and crescent moon and some stars, with clouds and a few birds on one wall

another i did in a cream colour and pink and yellow semi-transparent vertical stripes floor to ceiling.

another i did the same way, but with a white ribbon and bow on each wall near the ceiling

venitian plaster comes to mind

handmade paper decopauged to the walls comes to mind also (pypyrus is popular)

some like a tuscan look

some like gilded ceilings

my grandaughter's (the oldest one is 16) room has a frotage of red and black (and oriental decore)

the list goes on and on and on.

my daughter has hit preteen and also wants room redecorated I thought it might be fun if they made a model of it she did in a card board box when she was finished i knew what colors she wanted and what kind of theme and wheer she wanted furniture positioned she loved it it was fun and creative for her and I had no fight about it
whats their favorite color? Take a sample of the bedspread that has the colors that you daughter likes. Work from there, you also have to take inconsideration what flooring looks like, the color, this color needs to be incorporated into the bedspread and curtains. Then pick out the boldest color in the bedspread and paint one wall that color. buy throw pillows for the bed that picks up the boldest color. also pick up a rug that depicts the boldest color in the room. Just have /Fun
